Getting in the car to go.... all smiles (mom look how clean we are, not for long)
Pacific Beach July 2010
We had a wonderful 2 days at the ocean. The first day the weather was beautiful! The wind was mild and the water was cold but felt great. The kids had a great time building sand castles. Cooper mostly played with his large trucks and we all spent sometime in the water.
We also took Bailey to the beach with us. The kids had a great time playing with their cousin. She was a big help with all of the toys, buckets, trucks, chairs, etc. that we had to take with us from the car. The girls think she is the best! We don't get so see her very often so it was nice to get to spend two full days with her.
My parents also came for the adventure. They enjoyed the day too.
We were able to stay in a house just a few blocks from the beach. It had a wonderful play set that Cooper and Avery played on most of the night. The second day was foggy but still warm. Today when we left the beach it was still fogged in. However, 3 miles out of town the sun was shining and it got warmer and warmer the closer we got to Olympia. The high was 95 today and Mike said yesterday was even hotter. We stayed nice and cool at the beach.
The first night my dad and I took the kids back to the beach to build a fire and make smores. YUM! Avery and Cooper had chocolate all over their faces mixed in with wet and dry sand.
Mike and I hope to take the kids back to the beach at least one more time this summer. Not sure if we will go to Pacific Beach or Ocean Shores. I will try to post some video of the kids playing in the water in the next few days.
